The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G smartphone has just announced by AT&T that launch date on September 18th. It is same day with the Huawei Impulse 4G smartphone. This Sony Ericsson smartphone is already released by Verizon Wireless back in May 2011.
AT&T has decided add ’4G’ to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play‘s name since the HSPA+ capable. This gamer-friendly phone has a midnight blue shade color with PSP-styled keyboard including two shoulder buttons and the four PlayStation buttons.
The Xperia Play 4G smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset paired with Adreno 205 graphics, 380MB of RAM, an 1500 mAh battery, and runs Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS.
The HSPA+ version of the PlayStation-certified smartphone is packs a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 854 x 480 resolution and slide-out controls (a digital D pad and two analogue touch pads), a rear 5.1 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a front-facing camera.
There are A-GPS, a microSD card slot (an 8GB card included), 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a digital compass, and Bluetooth 2.1.
As gamer-friendly phone, this Xperia Play 4G is coming with seven pre-loaded games such as Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, Tower Bloxx: My City, Madden NFL 11, and Crash Bandicoot.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G on AT&T is bundled with the SE MC100 music cable and the SE Multimedia Dock DK300.
