Acer Liquid Metal Android Smartphone in Russia

Acer has officially announced new Android smartphone in Russia, the Acer Liquid Metal. The hanset was globally launched in late October 2010.
Acer Liquid Metal smartphone will be available in Russia in early 2011 but no word on pricing. It will come in two color options – silver and brown.
The side panels and back cover of Acer Liquid Metal is made out of stainless steel and coated. The Acer Liquid Metal sports a 3.6-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and has a slightly convex shape. There is a LED lights on the top of handset, which alert for missed calls, low battery, and incoming messages.



Acer Liquid Metal smartphone is built on a 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, 512MB of RAM, 521MB internal memory, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, geotagging support, and 720 HD video recording. It has also Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, MicroSD card slot, FM tuner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Its 1500 mAh battery is providing up to 8 hours of talk time, up to 550 hours of standby time. Acer Liquid Metal is works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA networks.
The Acer Liquid Metal smartphone is runs Android 2.2 OS Froyo, Acer SocialJogger preloaded (view status of Facebook and Twitter) social network integration, NemoPlayer and support DLNA technology. Acer Liquid Metal is also supports video formats (DivX, XviD) without installing additional apps and Dolby Mobile for high quality sound
